About Us

The History of this resort goes back 42 years . David and Martha Kemp bought this property and soon realized the potential of sharing this unique venue to everyone that values tranquil resting places, along the banks of the Roodeplaat dam.

The resort was at first opened to dedicated fishermen and has since been developed into a holiday resort with thousands of visitors each year.

Come and visit us soon, we will make every effort to make your holiday / visit to be as pleasant as can be.

Accommodation

Log Cabins
All cabins are equipped with a bar fridge, Hand Basin, Zink and 2 plate stove.

Chalets
2 Bedroom Chalets have 4-plate HOB, Zink, Fridge, Cupboards.

No Towels are available. Please make use of our ablution blocks.

Self Catering Units
Our Self Catering Units are fully equipped, which include a television with a DSTV connection (Own Decoder will need to be brought along) and bathrooms (Own Towels to be supplied)
 

Function and Venue Hire

Now you can enjoy the beauty of HengelaarsVriend Resort by hiring the venue for functions.

We have successfully hosted large events such as weddings, church camps, fishing competitions and year end functions to name but a few.
